The Alliance seeks to evangelize among people groups who have not yet received an understandable presentation of the gospel and among whom there is no indigenous church effectively evangelizing those peoples. We also desire to plant churches among peoples responsive to the gospel, regardless of their previous exposure to Christianity, with a view to equipping those churches to evangelize unreached peoples and to plant missionary churches among them.
867 workers currently serve worldwide with International Ministries (IM) in the United States. This number is made up of:
· 689 GCF-funded (fully or partially) personnel (includes career, associates, Canadian or foreign personnel who are funded by the U.S.)
· 74 non-GCF funded personnel ((including special assignment, workers on leave of absence, or partners)
· 27 CAMA Services personnel funded through CAMA
· 10 GCF-funded International Fellowship of Alliance Professionals (IFAP) workers
· 67 IFAP workers who are partially funded by the GCF].
57 of these countries have personnel who serve with IM residing within their borders.
At Yakima Alliance, missions is close to our hearts. Many have been on short-term trips to many fields around the world. Our senior pastor and his wife, Jonathan & Naomi Langford, are former missionaries to Mongolia.
We stay it touch with what God is doing around the world through ”Missions Moments“ in our services, two missions festivals a year as well as through an active church missions committee.
Alliance Missions is supported from the Great Commission Fund. Offerings for missions can be a designated part of giving though Yakima Alliance Church.
